Guilford CT Rotary - Annual Events - Guilford Rotary LobsterFest

The Guilford Rotary LobsterFest is an annual event of the Guilford Rotary Club. It is held with the help of many shoreline businesses. Bishop's Farm Market provides logistics support services too numerous to mention but without which LobsterFest could not be held; Page's Hardware supports LobsterFest with a monetary contribution and publicity; the Guilford Savings Bank has for years sponsored the live entertainment; the large amount of propane necessary to cook the lobsters and the steak is provided by Quality Propane; the beer has, for several years, been provided by SBC Brewery of Branford; two dumpsters are provided by American Carting of Guilford; emptying the water from the cooking tanks is done by A&W Sanitation; and the coffee has been donated by Cilantro's Coffee Roasters.

All members of the Guilford Rotary Club participate in preparing and working at LobsterFest. They are helped by volunteers from the Women and Family Life Center, Interfaith Ministries (Family Visiting, Charlie's Closet and Meals on Wheels) and the Guilford High School Interact Club.

The funds that are raised are shared with the Interact Club, Interfaith Ministries and the Women and Family Life Center and also support the local and international projects of Rotary.
